Thank you for all of the warm birthday wishes, everyone! It was very sweet of you to think of me, and, of course, you all had other reasons to celebrate. I hope everyone had a good St. Patrick's Day. I can't begin to count how many cups of tea I had! It was pretty amusing to sound like Dorcas throughout breakfast, and while it was fun for a change, I think I prefer my Scottish brogue myself.

I don't know what to say. I feel like a simple thank you wouldn't suffice here at all. The necklace is lovely, truly, but you didn't have to send me anything. The note itself was a gift in its own right.

Even after twenty years of marriage to my father, I still don't think Mum knows that Owl post doesn't take nearly as long as the Royal Mail system. Now, sadly, I have to stare at the pretty box for a few days before I can open it. I've tried stashing it in my trunk, but I keep peeking at it and shaking the box.

Can somebody put me out of my misery and babysit the package until my birthday? I'd be eternally grateful.

I hope everyone is finished recovering from their sweets coma induced by the candy splurge that accompanies Valentine's Day. I'd like to say that the flowers at breakfast were a lovely idea, so thank you to whomever thought of that. It was quite a thoughtful gesture!

The light is not doing my pounding head any favours. I'd do it myself but as soon as I stand the world goes all topsy-turvy and it makes me quite ill. Merlin...!

My growing pile of homework is becoming a little alarming. Can some remind me why I decided to take Ancient Ruins, Arithmancy, and Transfiguration at the NEWT level on top of being on the Quidditch team and co-heading Charms Club? It's a good thing I only have one class on Wednesday. If anyone shall need me, I'll be at my usual table by the window in the library.

Oh! Speaking of Charms Club, what did everyone think of the illusion charms on Monday? Lily and I thought they'd be a spot of fun.

I hope everyone enjoyed their trip to Hogsmeade today! The lovely people at Soliel were kind enough to spruce up my locks and reshape my fringe for me. I always feel like I can grace the cover of Witch Weekly when I walk out of there. And, as usual, it was fun gossiping catching up with Rosmerta over a warm glass of butterbeer before heading back to the castle.

I might have gone a bit overboard, but you all should have found a glass vial by your bedside when you woke up. I charmed them to glow red three quarters of an hour before your test, and if not touched they will emit a high pitched whistle half an hour before the exam starts. I tried my best to figure out everyone's exam schedule, but I might have missed one. Hopefully this will relieve any stress about missing an exam due to sleep or being so into your notes you forget about the outside world. You all will do wonderfully and will have earned your break after this is over. I just know it!

Honestly! I just want to go around the castle with my copies of The Standard Book of Spells until I manage to find some way to banish all of this mistletoe when I get back to the castle before any other person is forced into an uncomfortable position. And if Rita Skeeter calls me a Scrooge so be it!
